Following a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned with an encore available through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.
The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.
An imaginative landscape chart generated in Campaign Cartographer 3+.
The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's ongoing subscription program featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.
Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package contains these components:
All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, urban centers, and land masses from almost any perspective. Users can also create character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.
As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option is toward the top of the page, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an "Adjust Donation" drop-down immediately below, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
